Support activities In Poverty Eradication and Health [SAIPEH], is a registered Non-governmental organization [NGO] based in Western province of Kenya. Its original name was East Wanga University Self- help Group when it originated in 1995. At that time it was based in Nairobi where its founders attended university, but when its members graduated and returned to their home district of Butere-Mumias in Western Province, the organization was re-named as Students AIDS Intervention Prevention Education (SAIPEH) as a community based organisation (CBO) and later, it was transformed into a non-governmental organisation and renamed again as Support Activities In Poverty Eradication and Heath (SAIPEH).
A society that is socially and economically empowered and is able to cope with health and Educational issues.
To provide structural and sustainable support services to alleviate poverty and increase ways of improving the living standards of all members of the community, especially the orphans and vulnerable children, youth, women and the marginalized through development of strategies and initiatives at grass root level in the community that will enable this groups, be self supportive and independent.
Improving access to reproductive health services for women, youth and children and addressing the socio-economic impact of HIV&AIDS amongst the infected and affected families in western Kenya.

SAIPEH is proud to have won various awards based on it’s good reputation and service to the society
SAIPEH won a Commonwealth Silver medal award, African region in 2005/2006, the only organization that won in Kenya for successfully implementing an integrated community approach in HIV&AIDS and support project.
SAIPEH was awarded a certificate by Ministry of Agriculture in conjunction with Food Agriculture Organisation (SAIPEH) in recognition of outstanding performance in improving food security in 2007 during World Tele-food day.
SAIPEH was recognized by the Ministry of Education in 2007 for its contribution towards education and HIV&AIDS education in schools.
